Award-Winning Wizkid, a stage name for Nigerian musician Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, has lost his mother to the cruel hands of death.
Fans and the entertainment industry are both in mourning.
Wizkid, whose songs have won him Grammy awards for songwriting and performance, reportedly lost his mother this morning, Friday, August 18, 2023, according to a close friend of the musician.
Mrs. Balogun, whose real name is Jane Dolapo, was a pillar of encouragement for her son’s successful career and was frequently spotted supporting him from the stands at performances and events.
She wasn’t just there as a mother, but also as a sign of her unwavering support for her son’s musical endeavors.
