Nigerian grammy-winning musician ‘Burna Boy’, finally speaks out after being called a “new cat” in the music industry.
9jamedia recalls that the “new-cats vs. old-cats” argument broke out a month prior after Davido referred to Burna Boy and other artists as “new in the industry.”
Weeks later, in a recent interview with Apple Music’s Ebro, Burna Boy addressed the issue.
As he is known affectionately as Odogwu, he declared that he is unconcerned about his colleague thinking he is a recent arrival to the music industry.
He claims that such statements only make him feel younger and inspire him to do more.

Burna Boy said;
“It is a good thing that people think my movement is new. I love that. Because it keeps me young. It means like, I can do so much more, you know. It stretches my life span.
I’m living longer than I thought I would than I even planned to, you know.”
