Sensational Simi, a well-known stage name for Simisola Kosoko, a Nigerian musician, has admitted that she has never gone through a breakup.
The young mother said this in a recent interview with reality star turned radio host Tacha on Lagos’ Cool FM.
Simi, who is married to Afrobeats icon Adekunle Gold, claims that since she has never experienced heartbreak personally, her heartbreak songs are not inspired by her own experiences.
Simi joked that possibly the reason she can make relevant music is that she is a champion for those who are hurt in her most recent sorrow song, “Stranger.”
