The Nigerian police announced yesterday, that the marlian records boss ‘Naira Marley’ has been taken into custody for further investigation into Mohbad’s case. The Nigerian rapper/label executive was detained hours after arriving the country.
Sam Larry, a socialite from Lagos and best friend of Naira Marley, was detained at the Lagos airport upon his return to Nigeria on suspicion of being involved in Mohbad’s death just a few days prior.
Naira Marley, who insisted he had no part in Mohbad’s murder, recently informed the police that he had returned to Lagos, Nigeria by posting on his verified page on the X platform.
Naira Marley disclosed that he just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria in order to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation so as to unveil the truth and ensure the prevalence of justice.
The Nigerian police PRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed via his official X page yesterday, that Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley, has been arrested and taken into custody for further investigation and interrogation.
