TK-Swag’s revamped single, “ATIKA” has proven to be outstandingly appealing with its high acceptance across the numerous Hausa speaking African countries. The single was first leaked in 2013 by a music producer, leaving the young artist with no choice but to ride the wave. It has been almost a decade since then and with the power of social media, Tk-Swag has decided to put a face to his dynamic song. Mixed emotions from fans have been anticipated from dropping an amapiano EP, a beautiful master piece to switching to Hausa but he says “it has always been my identity and it feels natural to me”, drawing our attention to his club banger ‘Check your Alert’ which made him the first winner of Dbanj’s C.R.E.A.M Platform in August of 2016. “I won that because of my bilingual Arewa fusion, it was new, tight and fresh, he says and people haven’t really gotten to know Mr. Alhaji yet”. The kano born, Jos grown artist’s unwavering creativity and consistency is portrayed through his music and by the uniqueness of his sound, within an hour of its release, ATIKA shattered the record for first-day streams in West Africa for a bilingual song on Apple Music, according to sources.
The “ATIKA” crooner announced the release of this single on the 5th 0f August, 2022 via social media. The song comes just months after he signed multiple real estate deals in Dubai. This track was produced by Charles Creation and was written by the singer who’s name is Torkuma Nyior.
“ATIKA” is an up-beat song with a sound so unique that can’t be mistaken for any other song in the world, this signature tune is matched with powerful vibrations from Tk’s unique voice, his brassy sound, charisma and percussive techniques. ‘Na gode Alhaji Dan Swagga’ a phase heard by a female on the song created yet another alias for the musician, “ladies love to call me that and it has stuck”.
