A video of well-known Nigerian singer Asake recounting his humble beginnings has surfaced online, winning the hearts of netizens in the process.
Asake, the “Amapiano” hitmaker signed to Olamide, shared his “grass to grace” journey in a video that has been dubbed prophetic.
Asake, a well-known figure in the Nigerian music scene, discusses some of his activities prior to his meteoric rise to fame.
Asake claims in the interview that he does numerous things without realizing why he is doing them, adding that he is a focused individual.
Asake, a singer, claimed that he began his career as a dancer and now instructs others in the art. He began learning to play the keyboard after quitting dancing and noticed that, despite having studied it for a year, he still wasn’t proficient.

From keyboard, Asake moves on to working with music producers, from there learning to provide backup vocals for others, and finally starting to write his own songs.
As he progressed from writing his own songs to sharing them with his friends, he continued to claim that he simply had no idea how he managed to do all of those things until he sold the 02 Arena.
However, the singer Asake, who will perform at London’s 20,000-seat 02 Arena on August 20, 2023, has turned the video into a success story.
With the release of two stunning albums in a single calendar year, Asake is the breakout artist of 2022.
Following the announcement of the 2023 Headies nominees, Asake received 8 nominations.
