No matter what one does, someone would always have a bad opinion about it, however, it is important not to take it personally – Popular Nigerian Actor and Comedian Ayo Makun said, as he went on to share some more wisdom snippets online earlier.
Following a public altercation with artist Seun Kuti, AY—an Nollywood actor, comedian, and movie producer—delivered a thought-provoking speech.
The celebrated comedian asserted that negative opinions would always exist, regardless of one’s actions. But it’s crucial to avoid taking it personally.
He continued by saying that even people who are dissatisfied with their own lives, go on to evaluate and criticize the lives of others. He advised them to remember that they can be happy without the approval of everyone.
The father of two claimed that there are lessons to be learned in life, some of which are easier to learn than others.
In AY’s words:
“No matter what you do someone will have something negative to say. Try not to take it personally. People judge and criticize other people’s lives when they’re not happy with their own. Just know you don’t need everyone’s approval to be happy”.
“Life is a series of lessons, some of which are learned easily, while others are more challenging. There is potential to learn valuable lessons from every situation life brings your way. It can be hard to focus on what you might learn along the way when you find yourself navigating a difficult situation, but ur can be comforting to remember that there is a lesson in there somewhere”.
The comedian and Seun Kuti have a public falling out, and the comedian was recently criticized for his crude remark about Davido.
Dramatic Seun Kuti started when he made fun of Ayo Makun for his burned-out house, saying that the comedian had called his daughter a dog in one of his dry skits and had made fun of his own hardships.
He made a shocking revelation regarding the comic, saying that everyone in the business knows that AY beats his wife and has a bad mouth.
In response, AY said he feels more and more like a prearranged misery fest for other people the harder he tries to avoid conflict and unceasing attacks.
He offered proof to back up his accusations, claiming that he had referred to the singer’s daughter as a dog.
