34 lawyers appear to defend Deborah Samuel’s killers.
Nigeria has been in chaos since a college of education student by the name Deborah Samuel was killed by mob action in Sokoto state last week.
Recall that Deborah Samuel was stoned and burnt to death by a group of Muslim extremists for alledged blasphemy of the prophet Muhammad.
Regarding this case, the have been division and diversions in views even within the Muslim community. While many Muslim clerics have condemned the act and tagged it a deviation from the true teachings of the Qur’an, a whole lot of other Muslims have insisted that the action was a nice step. And even threaten to repeat the same treatment to all who follow suite.
It has been gathered that today 16th of May, 2022 a group of 34 lawyers appeared before the court in defence of the 2 men detained for playing the major role in the tragic killing of Deborah Samuel. One of the lawyers by name Zayyanu Aliyu Dingyadi took to his official Facebook wall to update the public of his involvement in the pursuit to prove his Muslim brothers innocent. View the post below
