Governors of the South West have taken actions against the security challenges facing the region, with a view to stemming the tide of banditry, kidnapping and terror attacks in the region. Baffled by the attack on St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State, the governors called for immediate intervention in the whole of the South West. They lamented that the South West have been taken over by some unidentified and unknown migrants. The Governors also called for a three day mourning beginning from Monday, June 13 to Wednesday, June 15, 2022, and asked that the Governors should direct the flying of flags at half mast in all public buildings, facilities and official residences across all the States in the South West in honour of the victims of the Owo terror attack.” The communiqué, was made public by Governor Akeredolu on Sunday.
